A NOTE FOR OUR VALUED USA CUSTOMERS

We are proud to serve our customers across the United States. However, recent changes in U.S. tariff regulations have led to a tremendous increase in the associated shipping and brokerage fees. As a result, we can unfortunately no longer offer free shipping to the USA at this time.

We deeply regret this necessity and are hopeful that regulations will change soon to make shipping our items more accessible. Thank you for your continued understanding and support!

We ship with trusted carriers like UPS & FedEx, not Canada Post.

Details

"Beauté Orientale" is an exceptional Organic Wulong tea that honors the prestigious Taiwanese "Bai Hao" tradition. Cultivated on the flanks of Jingmai Mountain in Yunnan, China, at an altitude of 1400m, this tea utilizes the esteemed Qing Xing (Qingshin) cultivar.

The unique character of this tea is born in the summer harvest when the tea gardens are visited by a small leafhopper (Jacobiasca formasana). The interaction between the insect and the plant causes the leaves to secrete natural defenses, unlocking a distinct and complex aromatic potential.

  • Visual Profile: Long leaves with hues of ochre and khaki. Upon brewing, they produce an attractive amber liquor.
  • Tasting Notes: The initial aroma reveals rich fragrances of bark and cooked pears. On the palate, sweet and tart flavors evoke citrus zest, finishing with a gentle cradle of sweet spices (cinnamon) and heady floral nuances.
  • Origin: Jingmai Mountain, Yunnan, China.
  • Cultivar & Terroir: Qing Xing cultivar grown at 1400m.
  • Sustainability: Certified by Ecocert Canada. This product line was recognized with two major DUX awards in 2022 for its eco-packaging initiatives and commitment to reducing ecological footprint.
  • Format: 40g bag (Also known as Bai Hao Jingmai Organic).

A complex and sophisticated tea that offers a layered tasting experience, perfect for the connoisseur seeking unique terroir and organic purity.
