This spring, Caribou takes an interest in Quebec culinary culture from the REGIONS perspective, just in time to inspire summer getaways!
In Quebec, everyone is chauvinistic about their hometown. And with good reason: these bits of territory are unique, each in its own way.
This new edition devotes its major dossier to agritourism, gourmet routes, microbreweries and microdistilleries as well as Aboriginal tourism.
We meet Jean-Nick Trudel, Lucie Tremblay and Isabelle Tremblay-Rivard, proud ambassadors of Mauricie, Charlevoix and Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean, we visit L'Isle-aux-Grues to discover its culinary specialties, we is interested in a food self-sufficiency project in the Bas-Saint-Laurent and we present, in the form of an artistic project, the foods of our territory.
Also, 10 collaborators tell us about an aspect specific to the culinary culture of their region, the host Christian Bégin wonders about the local food, the breeder of geese and ducks Fernande Ouellet is interested in the agricultural occupation of the territory, artist Elisabeth Cardin talks about the beauties of Saint-Jean-Port-Joli and philosopher David Robichaud explains why local food should fill us with more pride.
